Hello World! Once again I will like to thank everyone who supports us at PRISONER’S EXCHANGE & for giving our voices a chance to be heard. This piece FREE or FREEDOM is targeting the American Prison System & how it has become the new warehouse and plantation for Black Men. Not to say Black Men are the only men incarcerated in American Prisons’ but Black Men are the mass majority of the 3.5 million Men & Women incarcerated. African Americans count for 13% of the 350 million population here in the States and out of that 350 million, about 50% of the incarcerated are African Americans. Please know and understand I am never saying a prisoner doesn’t make the choice to indulge in criminal activity, but when that choice is the result of the lack of assistance due to a 400 yr old systemic deprivation of a particular people then what do you expect? I named this piece FREE or FREEDOM because there is a very big difference between the two; free being external and freedom being internal. America is the proclaimed LAND of the FREE that advertises “The American Dream” with that dream meaning one can achieve success unlike any other place in the world without the cost of losing true freedom. FREE or FREEDOM describes how America says her democracy allows one to be free while she still oppresses”African Americans” from attaining their freedom with deliberate laws, discrimination, and with-held opportunities being used to block their freedom because of race. The prison system was initially designed to rehabilitate those who made a societal mistake but seeing the commerce involved in those mistakes ultimately turned prisons into “BIG BUSINESS.” If one truly observes and examines the prison’s objective to rehabilitate, they would then question its entire format and ask how a prison can reform a person who has never been formed. Since Black have been in the Land of the Free, we never had equality, and to form means to begin or shape and the shaping has been stagnated since our American inception. So today I pray FREEDOM will reclaim the hearts of our young men and women. To know how to be free, one must first grasp freedom, because once you love you above everything else, your FREEDOM will allow you to be Free!!
FREE or FREE-DOM
Last night I dreamt of two beautiful women to whom AUTONOMY meant everything – until their INDEPENDENT spirits met causing one to enforce & the other to Remember their INDEPENDENCE;
They first used her name FREE displaying she will constitute unrestrained with LIBERATED Amendments / while the second showed her title FREEDOM presented the beginning of An Ancient LIBERATION.
The meeting brought FREE to see FREEDOM as only three fifth’s of their AUTARCHY- causing FREE to lose consciousness until FREEDOM’s consciousness was forced into a FREE governing matrix;
Forgetting she embodied the essence of the natural SOVEREIGNTY & FREEDOM undeclared her LIBERTIES for FREE statue’s that lawfully & symbolized FREE’s new normal of LIBERTY.
Relinquishing her FREEDOM identity FREE began to incorporate her mirage of uniqueness teaching FREEDOM she wasn’t born to be unique but to emulate FREE’s herdism;
Jim Crowing FREEDOM to follow everything with eyes, hands, ears, & feet / and to disregard any feelings that encourage she was very much EMANCIPATED.
FREEDOM became imprisoned with the herd until her entire originality transformed into cattle – leaving her to tread grass/ while FREE profited from FREEDOM’s economic demand;
Establishing FREE as a corporation knowing the sheep will mainly obey the shepherd / made me toss & turn hoping this was only a nightmare because FREEDOM was becoming incarcerated by capitalism.
Waking up today to see yesterday wasn’t a dream but actually a Reality – Realizing I fell in love with (AMERICAN FREE) in exchange for my (AFRICAN FREEDOM);
Placing my true QUEEN MOTHER LAND in the back of my mind for pleasure / and giving promiscuous LAND OF THE FREE 100% of my ZULU greatness.
If only I woulda embraced FREEDOM Supreme KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, & UNDERSTANDING – FREE’s illusion of GREED, LUST, & HATE of myself wouldn’t have me in a choice affair;
Choosing FREE’s vanities to replace mama’s lack of A Cadillac, currency, & A Kangol hat / when FREEDOM gave me unlimited miles, priceless jewels, & A KING’s CROWN.
So right now I apologize for renouncing your FIRE for her misleading TORCH – expecting when 2morrow comes my apology will become A stove burning to spark those who try to suppress your flame;
Showing all LIGHTERS how to avoid the entrapment of FREE bars / and use my words as MANUMIT soundtrack & Know this is more than just FREEDOM bars!!
