As I sit here in this box, I see solutions as clear as problems, but as long as the Union Bosses and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) enforce their oppressive collective bargaining agreement that protects bad cops and corrections officers, the problems will persist. If you believe Hannity, O’Reilly and other Fox and Friends Puppets Propaganda about Black Lives Matter being the cause of retributive strikes against an oppressive system, then the social media video proof proliferating the internet must be an illusion of your delusions. The echo’s of our cries falling on deaf ears and the indelible memories of brutally slain black men at the hands of our oppressive government agents, sworn to protect the very people they kill for sport with impunity just might be the effect to the root cause of institutional racism.
Policing for profit has allowed this atmosphere of distrust and resentment against police to grow at a rapid pace, so when I hear police begging the community for support because they give their lives to protect us, I scoff because they do not give their lives to protect us. They signed up to oppress as they enforce racist laws and tactics with which they target our communities. Furthermore, I have never witnessed a government draft into the police force, so it is a career they choose on a voluntary basis with full knowledge of the dangers involved.
When will our support come from our government? Police are supposed to be held to a higher standard but all I see is higher protections from discipline and prosecution. How can this government ask communities to respect law and order when they enforce but don’t follow their own laws? Who do we blame for the anger and outrage, the pain and suffering we are forced to endure? When do politicians take responsibility for their failures as representatives of our communities? As long as politicians, juries, judges, and the Fraternal Order of Police keep circling the wagons of corruption, they can keep carrying the burden and guilt for the push back against oppression.
Fox and Friends are trying to separate white America from our movement in order to implement divide and conquer tactics by labeling Black Lives Matters as racist. Due to fear of oppressed communities uniting and rallying around this civil rights fight, they try to delegitimize this movement our of fear because they understand there is power in unity. Although protests are important, the real power of the protest movement lies in economic sanctions against a greedy capitalistic system. If you break down capitalism, you will understand it is meant to take advantage of people and in order to gain advantage, someone must be put at a disadvantage.
Knowing this, we must organize and unite as we strategically target America’s economic infrastructure in order to force real reforms. The oppressors biggest fear is awakening the sleeping giant and the fear is now being realized through the Black Lives Matter movement and campaign. We cannot let our past martyrs die in vain because they made the ultimate sacrifice to inspire hope in us and unite us with unconditional love. It is, therefore, our duty to continue the fight for the survival of us. Gil Scott Heron once said that the revolution will not be televised but as we look around we should see that the revolution is upon us, so we must not, I repeat, must not retreat. If we do, all those sacrifices will be in vain.
With the advent of social media, we no longer have to receive our information filtered through the oppressors lens. If we believe the racist oppressive spewing of agitation from stations like Fox News, we would have to believe that our brothers and sisters who were murdered by our oppressors caused their own deaths by not complying, Meanwhile the uncle Tom fake members of the jiggaboo, boot licking, cloth continue to stuff their collection plates with paid endorsement from individuals in contradiction of our welfare. They even came up with a nice rhyming slogan for their masters, “Comply and don’t die.”
My brothers and sisters, I implore you to stay alert, stay focused and soldier on for this is a battle we will win if we unite and be inclusive and not exclusive and isolated.
